Alluring, fantastical, otherworldly, and off-putting. A reimagining of the Manic Pixie Dream Girl (MPDG) trope through Brian Froud’s impish lens. The MPDG and pixie are not dissimilar in their purpose, helping develop the human character and guiding them on their journey to rediscover their true selves. But one has to be sexy. In my work, a pixie changeling has replaced the MPDG, still the enticing figure, but with a slightly disconcerting aura.
